Dress Code
Management reserves the right to refuse privileges to anyone found in violation of the dress code. Management in its sole discretion will determine attire in good taste.
Golf Dress Code
The following types of clothing are prohibited in the clubhouse, on the patio and on course grounds:
• Bare Midriffs • Board/Skate Shorts • Cargo Shorts/Pants |
• Denim (any style, color or design) • Halter Tops • Jogging Suits |
• Sweat Pants • Tank Tops • Tee Shirts |
Caps must be worn bill forward. Caps, visors and other headwear is not permitted for gentlemen in the dining room. Shirts must be tucked in, except camp shirts with a straight hem. Bermuda style shorts are acceptable attire. Shorts and skirts must have at least a 17” outer seam. Ladies tops must conform to the following guidelines: tops without a collar must have sleeves (i.e. short sleeves, long sleeves, cap sleeves etc.) Tops without sleeves must have a collar.
Clubhouse & Patio Dress Code: Golf attire is acceptable on the patio and in the dining room (see above) as is business attire i.e. dress shirts & slacks for men and dresses, skirts, suits etc. for the ladies. Golf shoes, hats and visors are not permitted in the clubhouse but may be worn on the patio. When tasteful; bare shoulders or tops and dresses with thin shoulder straps, are permitted. Skirts and dresses more than 4 inches above the knee are not permitted.
Clubhouse & Patio Evenings after 5 pm Attire and grooming shall not be such so as to offend members or guests. Tasteful cocktail attire is permitted for gentlemen and ladies. Ladies shall refrain from deep plunging necklines, backless dresses and skirts and dresses more than 4 inches above the knee.
The use of cellular phones is permitted only in the parking lot.
Conduct: Guests are to conduct themselves in a manner that will not interfere with other guests’ or members’ enjoyment of The Club. The use of obnoxious or abusive language and boisterous behavior are specifically prohibited. Management, in its sole discretion, may deny guest privileges as it deems necessary.
Golf Shoes: Golf shoes are not permitted in the dining room. The Newport Beach Country Club is a non-metal/alternative spike facility. Wearing of golf spikes is prohibited in all areas with hard surfaces and such other areas as may be designated by Management. Golfers having metal spikes may purchase alternative spikes the day of your event in The Golf Shop. Our Golf Shop staff would be happy to assist guests in selecting and installing the proper spikes.
